UNC Charlotte is pleased to announce that the award-winning architecture firm Watson Tate Savory has been selected to design the Music Annex that will house the upcoming 49er Marching Band.

Over the past five years, Watson Tate Savory has earned fifteen awards for their designs for the University of South Carolina (USC), South Carolina State University, Midlands Technical College, USC Beaufort, and the College of Charleston.  Among their most recent designs are for USC’s new Indoor Football Practice Facility.

“The recent selection process for the new Music Annex Building for the College of Arts + Architecture confirmed the strength of the local architectural community and its commitment to quality design, as well as a strong interest in working with the University,” said Dr. Lee Gray, Senior Associate Dean of the College of Arts + Architecture and a member of the selection committee. “We look cheap ambien forward to working with Watson Tate Savory on this project and to future opportunities to engage the local professional community.”

The Music Annex will be located just east of Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts and within walking distance of the field next to Highway 49, where the marching band will practice. The building is on schedule to open in Fall 2015, just in time to welcome UNC Charlotte’s new marching band.
