This project was the creation of a new contextually sensitive home for the School of Education located in a historic urban setting. The college had purchased a protected 7,000 square foot three story historic building which was originally built as a mixed commercial and residential facility in the early twentieth century. The college also owned an “L” shaped piece of property which wrapped the existing facility and was the only available space to add the square footage needed to create the 27,700 square facility needed house administration, faculty offices, meeting spaces, and resource centers.
