The project is the relocation of the Raleigh Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) into 21,000 sf of renovated space in the warehouse accessed via a new pavilion. This will be the first new tenant to occupy the warehouse for 25 years. Additional scope includes the building is an 8-story office tower housing court functions connected to a vacant 2-story post office warehouse. Scope is to construct a judges’ parking garage within the post office warehouse, add a judges’ elevator and prisoner elevator to the tower, 3-phase renovation of the 6th floor probation office to facilitate connection of the new elevators to the existing tower’s corridors, and construct a security entrance pavilion to secure public access to the warehouse.
