This project converted a 53-acre farmers market into a premier tailgating facility. The project saw the birth of a new Gamecock football tradition, Gamecock Walk, which is the procession of the USC Band and Football team down the center green way of the site to the Stadium just prior to the game. Flanking this green way, are the restroom buildings, designed to recall the historic qualities of the original portion of the campus on the Horseshoe. Each of the restroom facilities provide many sustainable features, such as the use of skylights and daylighting controls for lighting, as well as low flow toilet fixtures.
As part of an extensive renovation to all the hardscape and grounds surrounding the Williams-Brice Stadium at the University of South Carolina, WTS designed the Gameday Building to house University Police, ticketing, the emergency command center, and a retail store. Working closely with USC Athletics and other groups from USC, the building was designed on a very tight timeframe to ensure all construction work is completed between the 2014 and 2015 football seasons. Also included in this work are four ancillary buildings and various modifications to the stadium itself.
