Jana settled in Charlotte over 20 years ago and quickly realized she found a home in a growing, dynamic community. While her career has focused mostly on higher education, she has maintained a balance of work in learning and workplace projects, recognizing the direct correlation between the two. Jana has experience on campuses in the Carolinas, Virginia and Maryland, including significant additions to UNC Charlotte, Western Carolina University, Appalachian State University, Virginia Tech, UNC Greensboro and Duke University. She enjoys the variety of project types housed within higher education, working with clients and consultants to find solutions to design challenges, and following designs through with careful detailing and construction. Jana is a commissioner with the City of Charlotte’s Historic District Commission and the newest addition to AIA Charlotte’s Board of Directors.  She is the recipient of the 2018 AIA Charlotte S. Scott Ferebee Service to the Section Award.
