A native of Iowa, John came to South Carolina and joined the firm in 2003 after two years overseas and two years in Chicago. In addition to a variety of project types, John has managed several intensive historic rehabilitation projects, including renovations to the South Carolina State Museum and South Carolina State University’s Lowman Hall, both on the National Register of Historic Places, and has extensive experience with Department of Interior Standards. John met his wife Mandy (a Columbia native) while overseas and together have three young daughters. Besides volunteering in the community, John is active in his local church.
